The seller only wanted $125 including 49 records (all but one in excellent condition), included two original keys, original manuals. It has been in storage since 1995 when the spring broke. Machine is in outstanding original condition except of course the spring which will be fixed soon.
The grain looks great in person and really stood out after a quick Kotton Kleanser rub down (back right half had not been cleaned when this pic was taken).
Unfortunately the seller had taken the mech mostly apart so it will be a project getting it back together. Does anyone have instructions for rebuilding a C-250 mechanism

?

Congratulations! That's the cabinet that I need...
There is a manual here:
http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... ?f=2&t=476 , but it doesn't get very in depth for disassembly or major repair work.
I started writing an "improved" version of the manual earlier this year, but I've only gotten as far as removing the mechanism from the cabinet so far.

(I swear that I'll finish it!)
I've included a PDF of it here, I hope it is a helpful beginning.
I've also included several photos of one of the many mechanisms I have on my bench, I hope they can help you identify any missing or damaged parts on yours.
I'll be happy to try and answer any questions you might have.
Best,
