Good Will, apparently in Washington state, has a Victor VI; somewhat ratty, but heh!

You'd have to be close enough to go get it as they won't ship it.

No wonder it's cheap, it's a "Victor Victrola VI"... If I lived anywhere nearby, I would jump on this...

According to Baumbach, this should have a triple spring motor. Might not be the original motor..?? Cliff

There are definitely some issues here, but it could be a fun project. Notice the bullet brake is also gone and replaced with a later brake. The later crank to me says the motor has also been replaced.

EDIT - yes, the motor is wrong, as is the reproducer (what IS that, anyway?) and the tonearm seems like it is nickel. The back bracket even looks like it could be suspect. Cabinet damage too.

This has several issues.

Should have a 3 spring motor. This only has a 2 spring.
Gold corner piece is missing.
Bolts for the back bracket should be gold.
Wrong reproducer.
Tone arm and elbow look nickel. Both should be gold plated.
Crank is wrong.
Missing 3 gold screws for hinge.

That's what I've noticed. Can anyone add to that?

Seems like a lot but for the right price, I agree it could be a worthwhile project. Only sitting at $96 as of this posting.

The reproducer appears to be a Mobley. Not original to the machine, but a nice and desirable after market reproducer.

Sean, I thought you might find this interesting.....by 1913, the later Victor VI's had the lever type brake as seen on the one in the listing. Although, it appears to be nickel on the machine in the listing..

Dave, I was thinking the same....Mobley reproducer. A nice difficult (after market) reproducer to locate.

Since this sale is close to me....I will chase it.

I saw this. It needs a lot of help. Like everyone else said, it needs the right motor, turntable, ETC. I think the back bracket is wrong. It looks like one for a Victor III or IV. As we know these brackets are not interchangeable with the Vic III, IV, and the Vic V or VI. Basically all you are getting is a case and the reproducer. It will cost really big bucks to properly restore this. It will be interesting what this will go for.

Well, it's up to $551. If I were anywhere close, I'd certainly bid on it. Might need a lot of help, but does make for a good project (and I actually have a couple spare 3 spring motors w/turntables sitting in the basement, so for me personally, all the more reason I'd go for it).
