found a shaver yesterday

yesterday I picked up the last/next piece in my new addiction of making cylinder phonograph recordings. A hundred year old edison cylinder shaver. Basically it erases and resurfaces the wax blanks. got it working in an hour or two beers...

It running in the last photo. I bought it from Russian Sax builder Oleg in Van Nuys. He sells to Guitar center and all around the world.

pretty cool. need some belts. two of the cylinders that came with it were brown wax. I cleaned one up and it worked ok.

Congratulations! That's a nice shaver. It will leave a nice mirror finish on blank cylinders.
