Kinetic Sculptures Powered by Phonograph Spring Motors

Post by CDBPDX »

There is an artist in Los Angeles creating kinetic sculptures using old phonograph spring motors to power them. You can view some of them on YouTube:

Pretty cool stuff!

Interesting...sort of like larger versions of phonograph toys.

This is crazy-wonderful!
The gear-head pieces immediately reminded me of an old Anacin headache commercial:

This fellow is getting serious about his art works and has just created a web page to chronicle his efforts:

Pretty cool machines, all powered by wind up phonograph motors. I don't see any Edison motors in his art, but lots of others.
