Sorry if I stepped on toes. I thought this is what this posting section is for. I can't afford machines like this but I know there are forum members who can so wanted to point it out in hopes that someone on the forum might be looking for one.

ha... nothing stepped on, I wasn't interested in this auction for myself (although I've found under-the-radar things like this before only to find them no longer so after being outed here, often just before a sale's end). I would say, though, and I'm sure it's obvious, that perhaps this particular concert - despite being a model that generally sells for quite more money - may have remained more affordable, as it were, had it not been drawn into the realm of more competitive attention. no matter though, you're right, that's probably what this section is for anyway, despite the dismay it may occasionally cause.

Two guys are going after it in a bidding war so all we can do is see how far they will go. Unless croakinfrog out bids everyone and sells it off as parts.

You are correct, that's what this section is for. And some member who did not stumble across this eBay listing will very much appreciate you posting it, while someone else who found it and was hoping to get a bargain might not appreciate your post. I think we had the discussion here before and we probably will never all agree on if and what to post here or not. This section has been separated from the Yankee Trader section so those who are not interested in these posts don't have to look at them. I will continue to share select listings that I find interesting (or hilarious) and hope others find them useful or interesting as well.

I find it kind of humorous when we think a particular eBay phonograph has "outed" here. It's really not like it was a huge secret. After all, it's already listed for the entire planet to see. (except maybe N. Korea) The entire phonograph purchasing community is not located on TMF.

All that being said, I admit I'd be a bit bummed if I were bidding and someone sounded the alarm here. Just a normal human reaction.

that was my only point, not to drum up controversy or great debate.

Is it odd that the seller only has 15 feedbacks and 44 completed sales?

You did not do anything wrong.

That's a pretty unfair statement. Do you know that Mark actually does that?

Up to $860 now. I saw this yesterday when I was looking through ebay. Looks like it comes with an Automatic recorder and a model D reproducer.
