What I do know is Mark (croaking frog) outbid me in his own auction, with a 2nd ebay profile, thus revealing my max bid, 188.88 for something I really wanted (a recorder), then then turned around and offered me a '2nd chance' offer to buy it at my max bid. Bad karma, called him out on it, and reported to ebay. He has paid ebay so much money they wouldn't dare discipline him...
How exactly do you "know" this? Are you able to see masked bidder ID's that other people cannot see? What kind of proof do you have that the winning bidder was in fact the seller?
I wonder the same thing.

I looked back at my dialog with Mark on ebay, I had bid 277.77 on a recorder, I called him out on it and he certainly didn't deny it, and went on to offer me another recorder for $265. This is after he offered me a 2nd chance at my max bid price. Who bids over $287 for a recorder then doesn't complete the transaction ?

He also listed this for the same $277.77 a day later...

Can I prove it, no. Is it obvious to someone who has done some 2000 ebay transactions? Yes...

Regardless, I will never knowingly by anything from Mark. I want good karma recordings...

That's a pretty unfair statement. Do you know that Mark actually does that?

Best,
Fran

stop it.....i offered you a second chance offer thru the ebay system on a recorder because i have several in stock and the price was fair to offer you one....if you can't understand the second chance offers that ebay has for the sellers you should read up on it.....yes it is a very unfair statement as i have never back bid any auctions as i start it out at the lowest price i will take.....

now john stop being jealous on what i do for a living....the machines i part out are parts machines at best and why don't you go to union and see the nice original machines i will be bringing..and as far salem ohio goes i am still looking for a good machine what are you looking at...have you gone to stantons and see what i buy....these machines i buy i rescue period...stop bringing my name in john as someone stated karma is a [Fifi]...you call me anytime john or shut up

I have to agree with Mark on the fact that we are all free to do whatever we wish with the things we buy. We can restore them, leave them as is, strip them down for parts, whatever. Many times a parts machine will contribute to the restoration of several machines. We are all free to have opinions as to what we believe should be done with machines, but we aren't free to force our opinions on others. Nor should we bad mouth them because they feel differently from you. We should be glad that these machines are being bought and used for whatever reason than ending up in a scrap yard, lost forever.

Well the auction is over. Hope someone on the board was the winner and will post pictures when it arrives.
