Automatic reproducer query

Hi,Anyone know anything about this Automatic recently on UK Ebay ? I have not seen one with the two screws in the weight before? has someone added them to increase the weight or are they original ?

Early Automatics had the thinner weight. Later Automatics had a thicker heavier weight. They also made an add-on weight that attached to the earlier thinner weight with two screws to increase the weight. That is what you see in this picture. I sold several Automatics recently including one with the extra weight.

Rich, many thanks for the help. Do you know roughly what the dates were for the earlier thinner one and when the additional weights were being sold ?
