Re: 2015 Union Trip - Photos
In many of my early driving trips to Union, I've found some great treasures. The great finds have included an Edison doll, Lambert cylinders, an Edison Concert, a BS coin slot, and other great things. But it's been quite a few years since something terrific. This year was different! Thanks to a tip from a Forum member, we were given a lead on a mahogany Concert (Opera). Stan, Dan, and I decided to buy it together and offer it for sale at Union. Tonight we cleaned it on the tailgate of my truck and it really looks nice. There is a crack in the horn but other than that, it's really quite nice. We have not decided on a price but we will before Friday. Jerry Blais

We had our best find in years as Jerry has already posted. Here are some pictures of us cleaning it up and getting it ready for Union.

I fibbed about the Concert (Opera) being for sale at Union. I couldn't help myself. It's much nicer than the one I have at home. I offered my traveling buddies a quick profit and bought them out. It's mine! All mine! (Anyone need an over restored Opera?) Jerry Blais

Hi Jerry. I'm interested in your over restored Opera. Can you send me pictures and asking price when you get a chance? Would look nice to my Amberola III. See you at Union.

Jerry,
You better sleep with one eye open. Stan looks a little envious about the Opera.

I'm not envious; just sniffing the Beer. But the Opera does look pretty nice!

I really enjoyed the show today (Friday). So many Forum members stopped in our booth to tell Dan, Stan, and I how much they were enjoying this silly thread. I've especially enjoyed meeting our new younger collectors, Ryan and Nick. They are a great combination of enthusiasm and knowledge. The future of our hobby will be fine with collectors like them.
