Hello:
I acquired this machine nearby, I paid $ 200.00 for it. It appears it is a early model. The case and cabinet is in great shape.
Here is the problem.
What is the model for it? The data plate was removed.
The tone arm appears to have been swapped....I think it should be gold.
Also, is this the correct motor for it? I there are two extra knobs these may have been added.
I need to know what it should look like so that it can be put back to its original state.
Also need a new lock and key, someone filled it in with a piece of wood.
All the help is appreciated.
Jerry

Jerry, The best advice anyone could give is...invest in some great books. If you have an interest in Victor....get a current copy of "Look For The Dog". All these questions on Victor machines and much more can be had...
. Hope this helps.

Jerry,
A few pics of what one of the tabletop XI's look like are here: http://www.victrolarepairservice.com/Sa ... olaXI.html
After looking at those pics, I wonder if your motorboard/motor might have come from a different tabletop model all together- maybe a IX(?). The pull knobs do not look correct, and the speed control on your motor board does not match the pictures. You are correct that all the parts should be gold plated. The correct tone arm back bracket may be hard to locate. Still, a nice find once you get the correct parts sorted. I'd love to run across one of those in my neck of the woods.
Yankee trader is the place to go first for the needed parts. Let me know what you ultimately find you need and I will check my parts boxes.
