This motor came out of a tiny Silvertone project machine that I am trying to fix up for my brother. I can find no markings on it, except for '6' stamped into one of the end plates. No brand, no serial nukmber, nothing. It is thoroughly broken, and I want to replace it with the correct motor, so I can avoid the sacrilegious at of drilling a new crank hole and mounting holes.
Sorry for the poor picture quality
Anybody recognize this motor?

Re: Anybody recognize this motor?
After finally getting the broken winding gear brazed back together, I had to take the spring barrel apart in order to try and fix the spring that would not catch the arbor. In getting the lid/transmission gear off of the barrel, all four of the little tabs that hold the gear broke off, and now I cannot close the barrel. So I guess it isn't thoroughly broken so much as in need of a new spring barrel and spring, but I need the right parts regardless. May as well just get a new motor.

Sounds like replacement might be the best option.
I don't think I've seen one just like that one.
Good luck! Cliff

Well, Ebay had just one of the motor I'm replacing. As part of another parts machine. For $90. Sigh... My brother can no longer say I don't spend money on him...
