Re: edison early standard model "a" info
Thanks for the tip George P. As far as cleaning the dirt off the wood case, what do you recommend? There are some small mold dots on part of the lid, what do I use to neutralize it without bleaching or staining it? Borax for the mold perhaps, I read non pumice goop or gojoe for the dirt but it leaves a residue (on my hands). What do you guys suggest Thanks Joe

For cleaning wood (including mold), I'm a GoJo/Goop guy most of the time. Much depends upon how you use it. Some guys put it on, wait 30 seconds, clean it off, and then claim that it doesn't work very well. Multiple applications are usually required, and "sit time" should be adjusted depending on the job at hand.
I've also heard good things from several guys about the New Life Furniture Masque:

I'll be trying it soon.
Others will have their own favorites. There have been a couple of recent (within the last week or so) threads about what to use to clean wood, so if you want to read all the points of view, I suggest using the Search feature for "GoJo," "Kotten Klenzer," "Masque," and/or "non-pumice."

I've been using Kotten Klenzer for many years and am still amazed at how well it works to get gunk off of a machine. It will even get things like little paint droplets and such off without messing with the original finish or wood. After letting it dry I then use orange oil which gives the wood a nice sheen which makes the grain pop really well.

I used Kotten Klenzer for years until my wife forbade me to ever use it again. It has an "aroma" that some people (including my wife) find offensive.
I know there's a joke in that, but it's just too easy...

Hi, Ordered the New Life Masque. Are there any u-tube videos on cleaning these machines? I am new to this and are concerned about the banner as I do not want to mess it up. Thanks for the Kotten Klenzer tip. Joe
