Arthur W. J. G. Ord-Hume's Laws of Collecting
1. Space will expand to accommodate an infinite number of possessions, regardless of their size.
2. Shortage of finance, however dire, will never prevent the acquisition of a desired object, however improbable its cost.

Re: Amberola 1-B Followed Me Home
Fran, I have several large Amberolas in my collection. I try to follow the basic rule that to add a new item to a collection should increase overall interest in the collection. I get around the rule by rationalizing that each large Amberola provides additional cylinder storage space. So much for well intended rules.
Amberola, It's difficult to take good photos in my basement. Most of the photos were taken with a flash which makes objects appear lighter. The photo of the dark machine was taken without a flash.
