Offered for sale or trade is a decent, but not perfect copy of Edison wax Amberol 691 from 1911, Sophie Tucker singing her signature song, Some of These Days.

This example has the original, correct, title and artist lid and the correct box. The record has no cracks. There are a couple of very, very tiny chips in the wax that do not affect more than the first groove or 2 and are easily bypassed. The record itself starts out well, but as it plays, the surface noise increases to a more noticeable level. The sound level at the end of the excerpt is about the same as the level for the rest of the record. This might possibly improve with cleaning, but I will leave that to the purchaser.

This video will show you how the record plays. The reproducer is a Steve Medved rebuilt H, so you know the quality is good. The record is loud and generally clear, but Tucker clearly overloads the recorder on the high notes, so there is occasional distortion. Because of the fragility of this record, I did not want to wear it out further or risk breakage.

This is a rare and expensive record that will be packed extremely well for travel. In person delivery to Wayne is available and encouraged.

I am looking for cash offers or (preferably) trade offers. I would trade for "better" cylinders or Diamond Disks, e.g., late electrics, or similar. I'm also in the market for a medium-sized Orthophonic. Feel free to offer anything else you think I might find interesting.
