Sad Machines on CL...

Post by Victrolacollector »

These machines are maybe 60 miles from me, I see so much of this stuff. The trend seems to be gutting the machines and call it repurposed, or cobbling different machines and trying to make them fit.

I see plenty of this in Seattle too. I wonder if they sell the insides on eBay and try to sell the rest on CL.

Sad indeed I see them all over Oklahoma. What did they do to the lid in the first one?!

The Edison C 150 appears to have a 78 rpm adapter on the horn connection, hard to tell from the pics. Looks like a nice oak example. $150, not too bad.

Ah: the ultra-rare 'Serengeti' model! Most of them were destroyed by lions: nice to see this survivor...

Many were also maimed and needed to be put-down due to careless handlers attempting to make them domestic models. ;)
