Appraisals

Post by ojz »

Are there any qualified people in the Cleveland,Ohio area that can do an appraisal on Edison and Victor phonographs ? I have an Edison standard Type D with a Model C reproducer, Victor Type M with a black morning glory horn, Victor VV-XI oak floor model with the original key, (1) Jewett speaker mfg by Jewett Radio and Phonograph Co. which is 31 inches tall and the horn bell is 14 inches in diameter, and (1) The Super Speaker with the same dimensions as the Jewett speaker. I have done some research on values, but there is such a broad range and I would just like to establish a fair value before I advertise to sell. It has been suggested that I post pictures and get some opinions on values of the above mentioned items.

I would suggest you post photos here and ask for opinions on value. The Standard D, Victrola XI, and Victor M are models that most of us are familiar. Another suggestion is to use the "search" feature of the Forum and look at past listing of similar machines in the the Trader section.

Good Luck, Jerry Blais
