Anyone have an idea what make the machine is crapophone? Asked the owner if he could provide any more info. Looking at the rear where the horn connects does not look like the usual Indian repros. Thanks

Re: Machine ID
The soundbox might be interesting!
Do what I did once: turn up, say you'll have it, pay the man and then just take the soundbox, leaving the rest. When I did that, the guy looked at me totally amazed and asked "Aren't you taking the rest?" to which I replied "No, feel free to burn it if you want!".

Re: Machine ID
Roger on the Craigslist section, this is rather close to me about 45 miles into the teeth of rather heavy traffic so thought I would take a shot here for a quick replay. Thanks

Re: Machine ID
There are legitimate European machines that have no markings. This is a crap-o-phone. It looks nicer than the average crap-o-phone, but stay away from it.

Re: Machine ID
Please indulge my little rant about the Craigslist culture:
Even though CL is free, I don't know why so many sellers bother with it, because (even compared to eBay!) they sure do make little effort to promote their item. The photos are usually few, small, poorly lit, out of focus, crooked, etc. The descriptions are usually brief, one or two lines and often make no mention of condition. Are those sellers really that incompetent or just trying to hide something?
In spite of all the above complaints, I actually have bought off Craigslist - for example, a diesel tractor.

Re: Machine ID
Thanks for all the responses. My suspicion confirmed.
I have only purchased one machine off the dreaded CL and that was a unmolested Arentino. Cheers and have a good 4th.
