Volume of You Tube

Post by larryh »

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a drop off in volume on the You Tube channel? When I first started to put up videos I had to be careful to not turn my speaker up too far or it was way too loud. The past month or more however the volume control can be set as high as it will go and I still get a medium to low volume. Its especially noticeably on movies and the music. If I go to a different movie source the volume is much better. When the computer videos from the internet come though like ads or mail going out the sound is way loud if I forget to adjust the speakers lower again.. I don't know if its something about my computer, or the speakers or is the volume on You Tube a lot lower than it used to be?

I haven't really noticed a dropoff in youtube volume myself. Have you checked the youtube toolbar on the bottom left of the video panel? Perhaps your speaker volume slider isn't at maximum. Here's a picture to show what I mean. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that tip. I am not very computer literate and didn't think of that one.. I had the computer volume and speaker volume up but that setting on you tube was over riding it! Its plenty loud now..
