That's interesting George. Thanks for sharing that. I would have to assume Victor had a corrected catalog issued fairly quickly.
Then again, if you think of the magnitude and cost involved... :shock:.

I have to wonder too just how discerning the buying public was back then. We're used to having tons of information at our fingertips. The amount of product knowledge that the average person has access to today is much greater than 90 years ago.

Besides, today's advertisers get away with mistakes by using disclaimers such as "actual product may vary", or "not actual size" or "shown with options".
