Pathé adapter soundbox

Post by fonografica »

Found this adapter on sale for Victor / HMV machines to play Pathé sapphire records.
Does anyone know what Brand it is and if it sounds well? Does the soundbox plays in a horizontal position? Thanks in advance for your answers.

That looks like more of an adaptor to play Edison diamond discs. I guess it would depend on the size of the stylus.

It's a Vicsonia reproducer. It's for playing Pathé vertical cut records on a Victrola.

It looks to be for Pathé only, with its large sapphire. It should sound fine, after the crumbly gaskets are replaced.

Yeah even though the stylus is large I've seen people play Edison discs with it. Your right that it's probably just for Pathé discs. I'll edit my last post.

How does it attach to a Victor arm?
