Hello! Does anyone on here have one of these carts I can go direct with (or public here) with some questions? I think this is the Schloss Brothers of New York cart - called a push cart or tea cart. I can not find any markings on the cart yet. The ad clip below I found on this site in an old thread. I bought this at an antique store. It is paired with a VV IX that needed a motor overhaul and reproducer rebuild. Everything is relatively decent, but name plate needs a little work. Any way to bring back a tired name plate or just live with? I don't plan on doing much with this besides a good cleaning and some fairly heavy play when I get the motor back from servicing. I didn't want to swap the machine out with a mint one since this seems to be an original combo.
The hardware to keep the right cart door closed needs replaced. Repair suggestions? A last owner glued a velcro square onto it. Left door is good.
It was part impulse buy so I am not sure I paid high. I know they call this a school use cart, but for 1915 period I can see these in WWI camp or YMCA halls as well. I have no proof of that - just seams feasible to me...
