HELP IDENTIFYING VICTROLA MOTORS.

Post by flashpanblue »

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what Model Victrolas these two motors came from? The motors look to be the same. It is too bad that Victor didn't stamp model numbers on them.
thanks
Pete

That style motor is the most common one that VTM used in a lot of machines.

The articles should provide definitive ID, but at a glance, these look like post WW-I motors, as indicated by the "Speedometer" speed indicator attached to the cast frame, by the governor.

This looks like the motor in my 1918 Victrola XI, for example.

These are common motors that appear to have been used in my VV-IX and VV 1-70
machines. They are very quiet running motors.
