Re: WANTED: RURAL MEXICAN BLUE AMBEROL CYLINDERS
The only Blue Amberols with numbers below 1501, that I am aware of, are the 2 minute Mexican blue amberols in the 1200 series. They all say 2M and then give the 1200 number. Very hard to come by, and very expensive. I only have one, and it cost over $100. These are the only blue amberols that Edison made in 2 minute format for commercial sale--made with some special agreement with a jobber or dealer in Mexico City, if I remember correctly. Good luck in your search! I am always looking for that magic "2M" in batches of blue amberol records. Occasionally, they turn up in the wild!!

Re: WANTED: RURAL MEXICAN BLUE AMBEROL CYLINDERS
Hi Mike. Yes my primary goal are the rural Median cylinders. And yes, they do pop up here and there. Hopefully this string will pull some of them out of the weeds. I'm making an informal listing of existing titles. Care to share your no and title? Thanks, Bengsphonos wrote:The only Blue Amberols with numbers below 1501, that I am aware of, are the 2 minute Mexican blue amberols in the 1200 series. They all say 2M and then give the 1200 number. What makes these "rural"? The same artists & selections seem to appear in both 2 & 4 minute lists, neither of which can I recall as identified by Edison as "rural".
