What A Nice Period Photo
We were lucky to acquire a wonderful period photo showing a little boy looking at a early Victor 6. Is the horn a mahogany grained brass bell horn..???...
. I just love these windows of the past.....

Re: What A Nice Period Photo
Now that the photo is in my hands, I have discovered a rather strange anomaly. The data plate seems to be sans type and serial number areas. In fact, the lower part of the plate appears to unlike anything I have ever seen......anyone else..??.Could it be a dealer tag over the lower section of the data plate...?.
Clearly, this machine had an Exhibition.

I think the tag you're seeing is a Lyon and Healy celluloid tag. See this thread for more:gramophone78 wrote:Now that the photo is in my hands, I have discovered a rather strange anomaly. Re: What A Nice Period Photo
Thanks so much for posting this old thread. I thought there was some mention of a replacement dealer tag. I guess at least one Victor 6 sold by Lyon & Healy had a celluloid tag placed on the front.52089 wrote:I think the tag you're seeing is a Lyon and Healy celluloid tag.
