Can you identify this machine?

No maker's name anywhere on it and the reproducer has been replaced with a victor 2. Painting of a cabin on the grill cloth, and the lid support is in the shape of a lady. About as big as a diamond disk B-80.

That is one nice lid support! I would want the whole machine just for that! As for the machine, if I'm not mistaken, does the tonearm have almost concentric ring type things on it? Does it seems like one of those telescopes that fold down? If so, that kind of tonearm would belong to a Cheney phonograph.

No way that's a Cheney. The steps you mentioned would be much more pronounced; also, the tone arm would have a polygonal cross section rather than being round. Also, I think that on a Cheney, you switch reproducers to move between vertical and lateral cut, rather than pivoting the reproducer.

Yeah, it's definitely not a Cheney. The dealer can't back out the crank as the pawl or spring is broken. It does wind. Horn is held in by about 20 small screws so he may be able to get in that way. No idea what the motor looks like yet.
