At the turn of the century, trolleys subway trains and elevated trains were how people moved around in the big cities. “Trolley cards” were printed with advertising for local businesses.
This advertising piece measures approximately 20 by 10 inches. It is wonderfully cool. advertising "Recordol." The Encyclopedia of Recorded Sound notes that a New York firm, established in 1907 called the RECORDOL. CO. advertised a disc record cleaning fluid named Recordite as well as a cleaning fluid for cylinder records named Recordol. This company did not last long, or sell this product well, making this possibly one-of-one, or at least one-of-few still in existence.
The card it self is in wonderful condition, with only one tiny bend in the upper right corner. It is heavy card stock, with super strong graphics. It is a super advertising piece.
The Price is $300 plus shipping cost to you. No PayPal on this, checks are great.
