I have for sale my EDISON CHALET B-19 Diamond Disc phonograph for just $375. This is a remarkable unit as many friends say they have never seen a Chalet in this good of a condition before. It is made of Gumwood and has the "naturel" finish as opposed to the "rouge" finish which was meant to look like mahogany. The spring has been cleaned and re-lubed, and the reproducer was rebuilt using a new True Tone diaphragm made by Larry Hollenberg. I can deliver this free to the upcoming APS show in Buena Park, CA, or ship.

I don't think mine looks like mahogany, at least not that very dark kind of mahogany. I have seen Chalets that have that very dark brown look, while mine has an almost caramel look. I haven't seen that many Chalets though, so you could be right.
I think I know what you mean. The coloring of the "rouge" ones can vary quite a bit, some being very very dark. Here's what the "naturel" finish looks like. You can see it's noticeably lighter.
Very good deal on it, I would have swooped it up if I were closer. I have a very nice Chalet and can be seen in the Featured Machine here on the forum. These are very nice machine machines, can be transported easier than a full size cabinet, and put out a very good amount of volume, especially for a small apartment or home.
