Edisonic Poster

Post by rgordon939 »

Almost forgot about the original Edisonic Poster I picked up today. It's about three feet long and states FORM 6228 at the bottom. Also picked up some nice brown wax cylinders that play very good.

Actually it says 6228, which means it's from Feb. 1928 (ignore the 6, the rest is the month and year).

Another marvelous find!

No, the first digit is usually a type of form. For example, all the monthly supplements for Diamond Discs start with "4", so, for example, "Form 41028" is the October 1928 supplement, "Form 4129" comes from January 1929, etc.

Thanks for the clarification. That's good to know... :).

Great information. I have been trying to understand the Edison co. Form no. codes.
