yes - and on the one picture it looks unmolested and the other one (if it´s even the same machine?) it´s been varnished recently... pity :(

This might be the same government auction that's been offering Regina music boxes and other phonographs for over a year, apparently without them being sold. I don't know who benefits when the reserve or estimated prices are so unreasonable.

I think the machine in the RH photo is a different machine: the maker's plate it different.

They do look like they received a visit from the Gloss Fairy...

Also different moldings on the cabinet.

They're confused on terms as well:
Pick Up Only -
. . .
Shipping: $24.95. Item may be pick up only, or require additional shipping charges due to weight or size.
So which is it? Pick up only, $24.95, or $24.95 plus unstated additional charges??

I asked them about the difference in the photos and at first they insisted they were the same machine. I pointed out the differences and suggested they check the photos. I got another response today saying their "customer service" department made a mistake and they're going to figure out which machine they're intending on offering in the auction. They did thank me!

Hey, obviously I have been underestimating my collection. I have a nice Vic III I think I'll put up at only $15,000. Should sell in a flash!
