Windex to clean and lubricate and or solid lubricants

Post by A Ford 1 »

Hi All,
I have not done any experimenting with the Moly-Mist because in a search I found that molybdemum disulfide (M-D) and graphite are both generally dug from mines and have as part of their make up ash and possibly SiO2 both of which are abrasive and therefore not desirable. When I get a chance I will try to determine if there is chemically manufactured pure M-D lubricant available befor proceeding.

p.s. It may or may not be desirable or possible to import the initial two pages of this thread from Machines to this section.

I'm thinking he is continuing a thread from another part of the forum?

Molybdemum disulfide works wonders on windows if you run out of Windex...
