My grandson retrieved my spare mahogany Amberola 1-A lid from the attic. It is a late 1-A lid. The dimensions are:
21.5" wide (outside measurement)
22&⅞" long (outside measurement)
19" wide (inside measurement)
It is 5" from the divot for removing the cylinder to the inside of the cabinet. I will post photos of the lid shortly.

Thank you for taking the time Jerry. Those measurements sound too big, but I look forward to the pictures.

Here are the photos. Remember, the lid is larger, at the maximum measurements, than the lower cabinet measurements. It should fit on a cabinet that is 19" wide and 20.5 'deep. My lid is fair on the outside and poor on the inside with no decal. I have the top portion of the cabinet which mates with the lid if that helps. The lid has the piano hinge. Jerry Blais

Here is a lid: http://kansascity.craigslist.org/atq/5153432006.html
Unfortunately, you will have to buy the whole cabinet for $300 to get it. Still, what do you suppose a lid would be worth?
