Thank you guys for all the advise for buying parts At this point should I just cancel my order and order from one of the others? I would hate to do that, but I've got a pile of reproducers that need rebuilt and it only seems to get bigger Once again thanks,

Actually I wouldn't do that because it will piss them off. You never want to give anyone in the collecting community any reason not to like you. Just wait on the parts from APSCO and go ahead and order parts from Sitko.

Cancel the order....This may be a side line business to them now, but it's still a business...people need to be a little more considerate of others. It may be a hobby, but there are other vendors who can supply needs in a timely fashion...

It seems APSCO was really involved in making some of the earliest reproduction cylinder records.

I can't speak for others, and my experience may not be typical, but I didn't like dealing with APSCO and no longer do so.

Oh my, I just looked at the APSCO site, I can't believe that they are charging 248.00 for 5,000 needles. Last time I bought 5,000 needles from them, they were 105.00. They charge about 9.00 for a pack of 100 needles.

You can get them on ebay for less.

I would definitely cancel my order and go elsewhere. There are very good legitimate dealers and suppliers who can fill the order in a timely and professional way.

A year ago, I sent them a Graphophone reproducer for APSCO to repair; this was during the winter, which should have been off-season for plant nurseries. After 8 months and several phone calls threatening to get my lawyer involved, I got a call stating they were shipping it back to me. I was charged a hefty amount, and, when I received the reproducer, it had not been repaired. I didn't pursue a grievance, just made a decision not to do business with them again. If they cannot give their phono business its proper share of attention, they should not accept orders.

The gaskets and stuff just arrived from ASPCO today. The wait time was longer then I would've liked but I understand that things happen. Luckily now I can start rebuilding some reproducers now

I was recently informed that they might have a tendency to 'misappropriate' some parts that are sent to them.

I do not know whether this claim has any basis: I had done business with them for over 30 years, and trusted them implicitly.
