Edison Bell on EB

Post by Schlick »

It looked like this Bell wasn't getting any love on ebay... (I have no tie.)
I admit I am grossly under-informed, but $180 looked more than reasonable?

The fact that the motor does not run will put most potential bidders off, especially in the USA where spare parts for a British built machine may be hard to find.

Even in working order, it would be lucky to make GBP£100 in the UK.

Someone went to a lot of trouble stuffing the soundbox to muffle the sound!
It seems to me most portables aren't going as high as they have in the past. Maybe people are finding there are plenty of them still out there to be found.

If it worked it might have sold- but having bought a few things from Canada there can be quite a delay getting it shipped
