It's not a Victrola XIV but a circassian VTLA L-door and the decal under the lid isn't typical for a North American unit but I believe is correct for a European machine.

Real nice machine from all angles and one I would love for my collection. Enjoy.

That is a beauty! A bit large for hand luggage though ;)

Well, if someone can get a 10-50X from Texas to Australia, shipping a VTLA from the Netherlands to Ontario should be a piece of cake.... ;)

In fact, it is relatively simple. I packed an L-door this morning that leaves here on Monday for Finland. Took me less than two hours, start to finish, including building the pallet, strapping, etc. Having the right materials certainly helps, and I know Guido knows how to do it, we ship things to each other all the time. We both primarily use FedEx Freight, who clear it through customs for the buyer (no brokerage fees, but duties and taxes are extra) and deliver right to your door.

One of the advantages of buying from a reputable dealer is that you get the benefit of his expertise and experience.

I bought this from Guido on Sunday, he shipped it on Monday, and it arrived today, two days later. It is already set up and playing in my TV room.

Over the years he and I have shared methods and techniques for shipping world-wide, safely and economically.
