Yes: that's a wedding portrait of my mother, painted by my paternal grandfather.

Had a little problem with one of my Danbury purchases:

Besides the flower horn, I had bought an Edison crane, meaning to use them both on my Standard. Unfortunately, I found the horn too heavy, causing the machine to tip forward. As a possible solution, I got several pounds of lead flashing and placed it in the bottom of the case.

The Standard was still unstable, so I was afraid I would have to use a lighter horn. But then I decided to swap cranes with my Home (a heavier, third-party crane). Result: the Home is fine with the lighter crane, and the Standard is pretty stable.

Problem solved.

A friend of mine,Bill has the same problem with a large horn when he puts it on his Home.I could tell him about putting the lead in the bottom of his cabinet.He's used a Gem horn,but it doesn't give as good of a sound as the larger horn.edisonplayer

How large a horn was he trying? My Home A uses a Tea Tray horn about 32 inches long, and is still stable with the lighter crane.

If his horn is much larger, perhaps he should use a floor crane.
