Hi everyone,
Whats your opinion on which horn sounds better, a Morning Glory or a ~32" long composite & brass witches hat horn?
BTW, the requested pictures of my first phonograph will be coming.

Re: Morning Glory vs Long Witches Hat Horn
Generally, a MG horn should sound a bit better than a witches' hat of similar length, as the MG is somewhat closer to the ideal 'exponential' shape. (Someone ought to do a frequency response test on this, using the same cylinder, reproducer and machine)....

Benjamin,
Better is always subjective. Are you after acoustics then Bills answer is best. If you are after authenticity then both are correct aftermarket horns.
If you are after aesthetics then it is up to you and your taste, and if you are married I bet your better half will have a vote or two on that choice. In my opinion it is hard to beat a beautiful original painted morning glory horn. But that is easy for me to say as I have several of both styles scattered around my house.
