Which Victor records go in which era?

Post by BwanaJoe »

Ok, the title may not have explained it well. I have an Edison C19 and I'd like to get the adaptor to play other records. How do I know which 78s will play on that era needle and machine?!

Thanks,

Joe B

Cool site, but, what years can be played on the old steel needles? Can ANY 78 be played?

I would say any 78's pre war to be safe. Mind you 78's post war could still be played with s steel needle.
Any vinyl 78's can not.. ;).

I think there are a couple past threads that go into great detail about this subject. Try a forum search... :).
