I had the same thought. I have a Vic #2 that might work, if I get around to it I'll share the results.

I think that a rice paper diaphragm (such as Edison's) may work in a Vic. #2 reproducer. I was thinking if it does, it may be a great way to play laterals on a DD machine with an adapter.

I've done it! With a few modifications I fitted my Vic #2 with an Edison diaphragm.

Seems to be working rather well. Is this utilizing the cork too or with it removed?

With cork, and in the same proportions as used for an Edison.
