Please message me if you have either a feed nut or a feed screw for an Edison Home B.
Thanks.

Is this for a Home B that has been converted to a 2&4 minute machine? Jerry

Yes, I should have mentioned it. Jerry, could you have a look at my other post about the "stuck" cylinder and tell me if I need a new feed screw?

Here is a picture of the half nut; as you can see it has been worn into two pieces.

Holy smokes!
In 48 years of collecting, I've never seen that!
Ummm...yes... Try replacing that half-nut and see if your machine's performance doesn't improve...
Posting that photo at the outset of this thread (or your other thread in "Machines") would have made diagnosing the problem (or at least the machine's major problem) much quicker.
There's no guarantee that your feedscrew is serviceable (especially after grinding its own threads into the half-nut bar), but a new half-nut may be all you need. You can find sources for your Home B half-nut here:

Ron Sitko or Wyatt's Musical Americana are particularly recommended.

I was quite shocked when I saw that; this machine is new to me, and I only noticed that after adjusting feed nut tension and cleaning the mandrel/feed screw assembly thoroughly;

Wow, that has to be damaging your feedscrew too!
If you decide to replace the feedscrew, remember to get one specific to the Home B that you have. The feedscrew for a later Home of for any Triumph will be the wrong size.

Wow! Talk about a much played Edison Home! Never seen that one before!
I agree, It looks as if someone had weighted it down to cause enormous wear like that.
