Sorry, I pretty much posted the same thing twice. I didn't realize it had to be approved first and thought I hit the wrong key!

Re: WANTED: Brunswick Panatrope 148C
They are really nice machines, I sure like the one's I have. They are a lot of work to refinish though. Brunswick really did a nice job with shading those things and making them really look sharp with all the book-matched veneer in them. I know that Victor & Brunswick shared components in their machines, but I would choose a Panatrope without hesitation. I've refinished both and I think Brunswick made nicer cabinets than Victor did. I'm sure there's probably a debate there that I'm not interested in getting into, but I've been through enough of both and I like Brunswick's cabinetry better. For one thing, Victor should have hinged the doors on their large machines so you could open the doors all the way to the sides of the cabinet. Those large machines have a HUGE wingspan.
Well, good luck with your search, they are out there and are amazing sounding and sure have a great deal of volume. Unfortunately the audiofools are the one's that really run the price up on them. All they want is the amplifier and sometimes the speaker, and the rest get junked or parted out on ebay. Nothing quite like spending thousands on a sound system and then having the best sound that 1927 had to offer.... I'm sure I'm missing something there, but I've talked to a few of those guys and I honestly don't understand that one. I have a few videos of mine on youtube and have had them contact me privately and want me to part them out. Ha!
