There are a couple of Victrola VV-XI machines on e-bay....Are these the values of these machines? or are they overpriced?

These are Victrola XII's, and they are rare. The price of the first one is ridiculous, about 4 times of the value. The second one is what they would sell when prices were good. I'm guessing about $1000.00 more or less in today's market.

Gotta agree here. I paid about $800 for mine at auction two years ago in pretty good shape. 4K puts the first one up there with the $2000 VV-50.Phonofreak wrote:These are Victrola XII's, and they are rare. The prospective seller of the first one is just dreamin' big dreams. The second is being offered by the same rascal who parted out a XII about a year ago, which was the subject of this thread: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... &hilit=XII
He still has the empty case from the one he parted out, offered now at a starting bid of $499. Last year he was trying for $749 for the same empty case. Though he's asking too much for the complete machine, at least he hasn't parted it out...yet. Maybe he's learned that crime doesn't pay?
