Holiday Greetings The Bunch at Orange ??

Post by briankeith »

There is a very clean copy (no sleeve) of the Edison DD Promo "Holiday Greetings The Bunch at Orange" currently on EBay... I have always wanted one of these but most of the copies I have found at shows were in rather well worn scuffed condition. What are these records actually worth as I know they are not all that common ??

Hi Brian-- As you know, the usual response about value is "whatever someone is willing to pay"... I remember the days when $1,000 wasn't unheard of for a clean copy of HGBO. However, as with many items, the prices have come down significantly. I sold an "extra" copy a while back (Ebay # 221877270781) with a reproduction sleeve for a BIN price of $348. For some reason, the buyer submitted an offer that was the same as my BIN price, so Ebay displays it as "best offer accepted", but I can tell you it sold for $348. I was fine with what I sold it for-- and the buyer was very happy to get a copy of this hard-to-find record. I haven't seen many for sale over my 39 years of collecting, so you may want to weigh your desire to have one in your collection against how long you want to continue to look for it and bid accordingly. I have my other copy in a large frame, deep frame with the original sleeve mounted above the record. It makes a nice wall display.
Robin and Joan Rolf sell nice repro sleeves for HGBO and for "Let Us Not Forget".

Thank you :D - I grabbed it, so how do I get in touch with Robin and Joan Rolf so I can get a nice repro sleeve - I assume an original would be rather pricey......

Prices have come down. I saw them offered for.$1,000 years ago. I bought a nice E condition without sleeve for $250 on eBay a year ago. :D

I just paid $300 for a nice clean copy but I need the sleeve - even a repro but I would prefer a clean, not torn original. I sent an email to Rolf's yesterday.......
