I received my mainspring back from George V., my polly portable has enough power to run through a record and then some. I have a couple of issues. My machine has some motor noise? Is this typical on these machines. Adjusting the governor is not very much of an option as it just has a metal plate to adjust the governor on one end (in or out from the spindle gear).
Also, when I tighten up the bolt on the end of the motor with the governor and spindle, the turntable binds, and when I let off the motor bolt about one or two turns, the turntable revolves.
Any suggestions?

Re: Polly Portable
Mine makes a little bit of motor noise, but it's pretty quiet for a small machine. I have Victors that make more noise than the Polly.Victrolacollector wrote:My machine has some motor noise? Is this typical on these machines.
Some motors just make noise no matter how much you adjust them.
