Revival of the Victor Talking Machine Co. (Historic Names)

Post by edisonphonoworks »

Looks like another headache to confuse you guys. The Victor talking Machine Co. Is opening its doors in New Jersey. I bet you guys don't like it when people revive older names, for the possibility of getting sued for issuing new decals, or ephemera.

Going to contain masters originally stored at the old Victor facility that was demolished in the 1960's. I'd like to know more about that. I know about the demolition, but I've always had it that most of it's contents were destroyed, too.

Regardless, we still have machines and need parts, decals and reprinted empherma of books etc. So I don't think that a legal action should be brought against hobbyists which are restoring and trying to help others restore machines. Maybe I will revive the Polly Phonograph or the Magnola Talking Machine brands just kiddng.
