Ink Spots, Andrews Sisters, 30s-50s 78 prices

Post by GrafonolaG50 »

As some of you may know, the Fallout series of video games uses a lot of music from 78's. Due to this, I feel that the prices of certain records, especially those used in-game will be going up due to increased demand as Fallout 4 is being released on November 10th. Just figured I would post this as a heads up to any fellow Andrews Sisters/ Ink Spots fans.

I have almost all the songs from Fallout 3 on 78.
Some were expensive because they're great Billie Holiday tracks that are highly desirable.
The Ink Spots and Andrews Sisters records I bought very reasonable at garage sales and ebay.

I have a few from the soundtrack that I found in antique shops, but some like "I Don't Want to Set The World on Fire" I can't find, other than on ebay for an arm and a leg

When I play any of the Fallout music at a gig, the women swoon (well, I don't see it, but they come up later and tell me they were swooning). And then they hire me. I'd say the Fallout records were a good investment. 8-)

Anyone else like the Andrews sisters "My Dear Mr. Schon"? I really need to get that one.

I found both of my copies at antique shops. I paid between $1 and $5 for each

Well, I've heard "Bei mir ist du schön," so this must be a spoof? ("schon" means "already" auf Deutsch, "schön" means "beautiful," pronounced something like "shane").
