I recently acquired a small crate. It is defiantly old but I am not sure of the age and what its original purpose was.
The crate is labelled "Victor" "His Masters Voice" "S.F 12" on two sides, and "R.C.A.Victor Co. Vancouver B.C." and "packing slip enclosed" on the top.
Also under the Nipper is "Trademark Pat'd AG Dept" which is Canadian registration of the patent.
The dimensions are; (inches) 14 x 14 ½ x 28 outside and 12.5 x 12.5 x 26.25 on the inside.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Could this be a crate for shipping parts?

It has the shape of an early radio. But I like it as a stand for Nipper. Jerry

C'mon guys, isn't it obvious? That's the box that Nipper came in when he was a pup!

Well, it has the RCA-victor stencil on it, so I'd vote that it held a radio. Probably a radiola 60 as it has similar dimensions.

A crate to hold 12" records? That might explain the "12" marking.
