Berliner? and my first cylinder phonograph yesterday

I won this at an online auction for less than a c-note, and picked it up yesterday on the western edge of MN. Edison fireside model A with a combination K reproducer, kinda in rough shape, but the mechanism is all there and it runs (needs a little tuning). I think the prize of the lot is the black horn, which I believe is a Berliner funnel horn. It's about 14 ¼" long, and about 8 ¾" across, the reproducer side is about 1 ¼" across.

Am I right in that it is a Berliner horn? and what models would this go on?

You got a heck of a deal for under $100. The auction was surely not advertised well as anyone knowing anything about phonographs and seeing the horn alone not to mention the Fireside would have bid it up. You're very fortunate.

You have indeed had incredible luck not only now but in the past.

The Berliner horn is an early style, suitable for an 1896/97 lever-wind, an 1897/early 98 Improved Gramophone ("Trademark Model") or a hand-driven model.

You really should be buying lottery tickets!

Yeah, the odd thing about the auction was that there were 2 other lots, each consisting of 6 edison cylinder records, and each lot went for about $25. Not sure how I lucked out with all of the hardware. But I'm not complaining.

There have been a few people interested in the Berliner horn, so it won't be staying in my hands for much longer.
