A Visit With The Circassian King And Queen

Post by startgroove »

This weekend we had the privilege and pleasure of visiting with a collecting Husband and Wife team in our area. We had not been to see this collection for a couple of years, and we were hosted to a wonderful time for two days, plus a viewing of the beautiful collections of miniature sewing machines, artworks, vintage clocks, early lamps and of course phonographs! The heart of the collection is an assortment of Circassian Walnut phonographs, Victors, Columbias and several other brands. We'd never seen so many of this rare wood finish machines in one place before. There were about 18 scattered throughout the mansion. Here are just a handful. The first two are Edison DD A-450 and B-450. Russie and Lori

What a stunning collection. Circassian walnut phonographs are the most beautiful. Thank you for posting the photos.

SO beautiful. I certainly wouldn't turn anyone of these down if I ever got the chance to have one but that Edison is just superb.
