Edison "Suitcase"Home in Talking Machines & Music
Yesterday I went to the flea market where I got the dollar Blue Amberols a week ago.I couldn't find them,so I assumed that someone came along and bought the rest.In addition to the Amberola 30 I also saw a Suitcase Home.Someone put an Edison decal on the bottom half(which is incorrect for a Home that early.However.the decal was correct on the lid. It's a 2 minute only machine with an early C reproducer. But they had a Blue Amberol record on the mandrel.I told the dealer that a 4 minute cylinder wouldn't work.I also told that Edison had conversion kits so people could play the 4 minute on the older machines like the Home.As I say,If you don't know, you don't know.

This weekend I asked about the price.A friend of mine at the show called the dealer and asked about the price of the Home.He said $575,but he could go as low as $510.edisonplayer
