My favorite Edison decal is that of the suitcase Home. Here is a BEFORE and DURING photo. I'll post a finished photo tomorrow (if I can NOT drink coffee tomorrow morning......need steady hands for this.).

It's a bit hard to compare as the two images have such a different lighting and white calibration, but I'd say that you're doing a very good work there!

I use artist acrylics... They are easy to thin with water to allow shading in lost color. Gold enamel i have in three shades which I mix to match. Final coat is liquid decal film to protect paint. The goal is to improve the look. Not make it new. Done for now!
