"Niagra departed NY Thursday morning w anticipated arrival in Southampton Tuesday afternoon. Now expecting 1 day delay due to rough seas and overnight stoppage due to ice. The Captain"

So if they really do get into Southampton Wednesday, I'm optimistic my copy will arrive by train at the central post in Prague Friday or Monday. I'm sure it will be worth the wait as always.
I just got word (via smoke signals), that mine is coming by dogsled. All I can say is.....MUSH!!!.. .
Just sent the following wire to the Captain: More steam please Captain. Please proceed with all possible haste!
Bruce, I would suggest notifying the Captain that if they should strike an iceberg.....mailbags,children & woman be saved (in that order) first....

If I'm really, really lucky.....I may get my issue for Christmas... ;).

I finally learned why it was woman and children first in a MEME! To think it took this long for me to get the answer. :?

Hmmm... still waiting. The Niagra seems to be no longer responding to the wireless which is a bit concerning but we remain optimistic. :monkey:

Don't feel too badly, Bruce. Last week we heard from a collector in Washington State to say that his journal had just arrived. A similar circumstance happened last year at this time, and we can only assume that the increased volume of mail this time of year has a disproportionately severe effect on the "not for profit" mail.

Don't give up the ship! ;)

No worries George I'm used to this especially around this time of the year. I'm also awaiting an envelope with literature from Shawn which should have been here by now. The most frustrating thing is that there is no consistency. A friend emailed me a week ago that he was sending me a small package. It showed up in five days, regular mail!!!

Too bad, still waiting for my copy. I really wished there was a digital version available to read on my Nexus. While it is nice to have the printed version at hand, the ongoing delays are a real drawback.
